Potable water treatment
For potable water treatment we are using polyaluminium chloride from MOPAC series; high efficiency products from both economic and quality point of view.
The polyaluminium chloride diversity gives the opportunity to choose the right product according with the physicochemical properties of the treated water, the physicochemical properties of the coagulant are also adjusted according with this water.
The advantages of using MOPAC products:
- – Ease to use, the liquid form requires only metering pumps. Therefore some design and implementation costs get lower
- – Use of small quantities of coagulant used in the dosage
- – Removes the remanent aluminum after treatment
- – Eliminates the use of milk of lime
- – Doesn’t change the pH of the treated water, so do not require any pH correction
- – No corrosive effect, on the contrary the product is corrosion inhibitor. After using, it creates a passivation tube effect proved by the low iron rate into the water
- – Being algaecide prevents and eliminates algae in decanters
- – Does not require the use of organic polyacrylic adjuvants for treating special water due to it’s high selectivity and sensibility
- – Highly decrease the organic content from the treated water, therefore reduces the chlorine consumption in the pre chlorination phase, too
- – Eliminates the costs of dissolving the solid flocculants
- – Eliminates the loss of substance, the MOPAC products are 100% active
Physicochemical phenomena related to the use of MOPAC products:
- – Flock creation time is much lower than other coagulants
- – It forms large and well defined flakes with fast settling
- – Doesn’t encounter difficulties at low turbidity like other types of coagulants, because there is no need of organic poly acrylic adjuvants
- – Reagent consumption is low compared to other liquid or solid coagulants consumption from the market. (Proved by the Romanian drinking water operators)
For deep water drilled wells which have some infesting sources with nitrogen, cyanide, hydrogen sulfide or heavy metals, it is recommended to use selected ion-exchange resins columns in order to achieve maximum efficiency and low cost.
